About Us

Maria Gustafson,  is one of the only Certified Translators M.D. and Professional Interpreters M.D.in the US. A 23-year experience in the field and a 10-year training has given her all the necessary tools to expand her expertise. Maria has been working for multinational companies, Kane County Judicial Center, Juvenile Justice Center, Probation Division, State's Attorney's Office, Elgin Branch Court, Aurora Branch Court,DuPage County, Cook County, Boone County and Winnebago County Court and private law firms. Her translations are precise, accurate and internationally valid. Maria is a native Spanish speaker from Argentina. Maria is also an instructor for GED and Advanced ESL/TOEFL classes at the Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL. Maria Gustafson is the author of the course "Translators and Interpreters" and she has also written a "Legal Terminology Pocket Dictionary" which is the result of 23 years of practice and research. Sandy Miller, attorney-at-law and Jo Izaurralde also an attorney cooperate with Maria Gustafson in all legal matters regarding education, training,registration and copyright. Thanks Sandy and Jo!

WE HAVE OBSERVED THAT THE QUALITY OF WRITTEN TRANSLATIONS AND SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATIONS REGARDING LEGAL MATTERS IS LOW DUE TO LACK OF TRAINING. WE WANT THE LEGAL PROFESSION TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICE TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY WITHOUT DISTINCTION.
